At a private fishing club in Essex, we were called upon to remove weed, silt and a fair amount of debris from this lake.
Unfortunately, because of the amount of debris in this lake we could not use our signature pumping system so had to revert to traditional dredging from a floating pontoon.
To dispose of the silt and debris we used a tracked dumper because the field we had to transport across was very wet from all the rain that had recently fallen.
We also had to construct a special platform around the edge of the lake so that we could get the excavator close enough to grab the material from the floating barge, reducing any damage to edge of the lake to absolute minimum.
From this lake, we removed approximately 2000 tonnes of silt, which was spread on nearby land.
