Sibelco slurry lagoon clearence
As a large Industrial Minerals company we create solids as a by product of sand washing. The solids generated from our process settles into lagoons which from time to time, require cleaning out.
Previously Sibelco has used long reach machines which can be very messy as slurries have high water content and low solids.
Four years ago Jex Plant was working at our Kings Lynn site and he indicated that he could pump slurry out our lagoons using a novel system he had developed. [Read more]

Moat Desilting
We have recently used this team to clear, pump out and de-silt a moat/watercourse round our property. The location and immediate environment presented difficulties of access for heavy machinery (eg JCB) and silt pumping seemed to afford the least damaging option .
They first came with equipment and an inflatable and made a comprehensive survey on which they based charges. [Read more]

Aggregate Induststries Mepal Quarry
Historically speaking, movement of silt from the lagoons would normally be carried out by way of load and haul practices. Mobile plant requirements for such an operation are Excavator and three articulated dumpers. Using load and haul techniques for silt movement has in the past raised cost, environmental and safety issues and as such a new approach was sought. [Read more]
