Leziate Quarry Lagoon Clearance

My Name is Steve Fysh and I am in charge of running Leziate quarry on a day to day basis. Peter has asked if I would mind putting a short letter together.

I met Peter Jex approximately three years ago when he was on site to collect some sand for one of his customers and by chance the conversation came up that I was about to clear out one of our lagoons in the quarry.

The method of clearing them up until then was to hire three dumpers and an excavator which was a very messay procedure.

Peter explained that he had used a pumping method in the past on other jobs therefore I took him over to see the lagoon, after assessing the job, Peter came back with aprice and a date was agreed.

On completion, I and the company were very happy with the amount of product pumped and that safety was a high level, at the end of the job there was no mess to clear away.

Since then we have used Peter a further three times and other sites with WBB Minerals have been in contact with him with a view of using the same system.
